The Onlnie Book prepared by the Consulting and Independent Contracting (CIC) Special Interest Group (SIG) of the Society for Technical Communcation provides information to those who are considering work as an independent technical communicator. The articles are written by independent technical communicators; each took on one or more subjects that, together, encompass the spectrum of independent consulting and contracting.

I accepted responsibility to develop the first major update to the Online Book. I obtained the services of the various authors, edited their submissions to ensure consistency, and coded the XHTML and CSS used to present the material.
